What models ask most often about being booked directly, without going through a casting.
Do I have to be represented by Moi to be booked directly?
Yes. Direct booking means a client comes to us asking for you by name, so you have to be on our board first. If you are not yet, start from Get scouted: four polaroids and a short note, and we come back within a week. There is never a fee to join.
Who agrees my rate, and how do I know it is fair?
We do, and you see the numbers before anything is signed. Every quote is broken down line by line: day rate, agency fee, usage buy-out, travel and per diems. Nothing is bundled into one opaque figure, and nothing is agreed on your behalf without you seeing it first.
What are usage rights, and why do they change what I am paid?
Usage is where and for how long the client can publish the images. We track the expiry, so if a client keeps using the images beyond the agreed term we go back and renegotiate.
When do I get paid?
The client pays between 30 and 60 days after the shooitng. If a client is late, chasing them is our job, not yours.
Can I be direct-booked if I am also with another agency?
Usually yes, only if you don't have an exclusive contract with other agencies.
What happens on the shoot day?
You get the call sheet, the brief and the references from us in advance, so you arrive knowing the job. We are reachable by phone for the whole day if anything changes on set.
